Penn Foster's Child Day Care Continuing Education Courses were developed specifically for people who are currently working in a child day care setting and have a desire to earn additional training hours within the field.

Child Development Course

Part 1: This course provides an overview of child development according to five categories: birth-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-36 months, and 3-5 years. It details social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. You will also learn various development theories and professional viewpoints regarding child growth and development.

Part 2: This course discusses the stages of growth and provides tips on developing a learning environment for children in kindergarten, ages 6-8, and ages 9-12.
