My first plan, early on, was to become a Veterinarian, but science was not my best subject. Through a friend, I learned that I could get my degree in Veterinary Technology. The thought of working in a Veterinary office sounded like a dream come true, but going back to school and raising 4 children seemed like a daunting task. I had heard about classes online, but always thought an education online was not taken seriously. After further investigation, I realized that this was not the case. Penn Foster College has a degree program that is accredited by the AVMA. After signing up, I was able to take live classes in my kitchen while making dinner for my kids. You can't do that at a brick and mortar college. In addition, I got full support from my employer. Not many people can say they love what they do, but thanks to Penn Foster, I can.
