Penn Foster alumni continue to impress and inspire us each and every year with their amazing achievements. This year, we received hundreds of Graduate of the Year applications featuring students who have persevered to overcome challenges, self-doubt, and new beginnings. It was hard to choose, but five students in particular stood out at the top of our list to be named Graduate of the Year Finalists. Here are their stories.

Stay at home mom, Kristy Donovan, wanted a job she was passionate about. The problem was that the closest program to her was a nearly two-hour drive away. Penn Foster’s self-paced, online Vet Tech Program allowed her to pursue her career goals without having to sacrifice time with family.

Penn Foster alumni are off accomplishing amazing things! This year, we received over 1,000 Graduate of the Year submissions. Our graduates’ stories involved challenges overcome, milestones reached, and expectations exceeded from every one of you that applied. However, there were five that stood out above the rest. We’re excited to share with you our Graduate of the Year finalists and celebrate their success. Here are their stories.
Graduate Adriana Guy.
Suffering from a chronic illness, Adriana Guy wasn’t able to attend in-person classes. Our self-paced program allowed her to study when she wanted and taught her time management skills. She ended up with a diploma and was able to move onto college. Read on to learn what she’s up to now!
Bookkeeping graduate Ronelle Duncan.
Ronelle Duncan wanted to grow at her workplace. Looking to gain the skills she needed to advance in her career, she enrolled in Penn Foster. Since graduating, Ronelle has received a promotion and raise. Read how a career diploma helped her launch her career.
