I knew I wanted to work with animals since I was a small child. I graduated from a local college with my Associate’s degree in 2009. Prior to working at Penn Foster College, I worked 9 years in Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, & Referral Surgery.
What are some of your interests?
When I am not spending time with my family, I enjoy playing softball and watching any kind of sporting event. I have many nieces and nephews who play all kinds of sports and I love to attend. Football is my favorite sport to watch and I love the Steelers.
What is one piece of advice you'd like to give to students?
Never stop learning. Medicine is always changing and growing and there is so much you can learn. I think it is so important to continue to learn throughout your career. There is so much a veterinary technician can do. Don’t be afraid to reach for your dreams!

My family — especially my children
