make-work-more-exciting
Every profession has it’s up’s and down’s, but if you find that you can no longer get excited about going to work every day, it’s time to make a change. Here are a few tips to help you enjoy your job  and make your career as challenging and engaging as you hoped it would be!

Pinpoint what responsibilities are dragging you down - and what you’d rather be doing instead. The first step to changing how you feel about your job is identifying the tasks that you don’t enjoy doing, and figuring out what you’d rather be doing instead. If certain responsibilities are making you dread going into work on a regular basis, figure out what those responsibilities are and come up with a list of ways you’d rather be spending your time contributing to the workplace. Managers want you to be happy in your role, and if you can present a solution to your unhappiness that will make you a more productive member of your team, both you and your company will benefit!
Develop a social circle. It’s hard to feel excited about a job when your co-workers are strangers! Make an effort to get to know your co-workers and create a bond by finding common interests that you can talk about. Making friends takes work, but something as simple as organizing a lunchtime activity or a work-night-out can go a long way in building lasting relationships that make work more enjoyable.
Challenge yourself. Work can drag without a good challenge to keep your brain stimulated! If you find that your regular responsibilities lack challenge, ask your manager if there are any opportunities to work on more engaging projects. Not every item on your to-do list is going to be the most exciting task, but you may find you’re overall enthusiasm with your job increasing knowing that you have a challenge to complete ahead of you.
Learn new skills. You may find that your limitations are preventing you from flourishing in the industry you’ve chosen. If you think that you’re capable of taking on more responsibilities but aren’t sure you have the skillset to fully succeed, consider taking up a new skill! With the right training, it’s possible to increase your earning potential and create new opportunities for advancement for within your company - which are both pretty exciting!
