Ann Swarts has been a member of the Penn Foster team for five years. She has an abundance of experience in the health-care field. Ms. Swarts has served as a chief clinical dietician, the director of WIC programs, as well as a director of dietary services. Prior to her experience as an instructor at Penn Foster, she has had the opportunity to share her expertise as an educator in nursing programs, specifically in the nutrition, diabetes, and clinical production management areas. She has also worked as a nutrition consultant for a number of years.
What is one piece of advice you’d like to give students?
Keep focused on your goal and utilize all available support from Penn Foster.
What was the best day of your life?
The day that my daughter came into my life.
What are some of your passions?
Reading and chocolate!
What types of volunteer experiences have you had?
I have volunteered as a reading instructor for the Scranton Council of Literacy Advance, facilitated a number of bereavement support groups, and taught budgeting and life skills to high school and college students.
What are some of your interests?
In my spare time, I enjoy watching professional football and ice hockey.
