What is one piece of advice you’d like to give students?
Read the directions and make a plan, before you start any project (in school or in the rest of your life)!
What are some of your passions?
Riding and working with horses has been a lifelong passion; I don’t have much time to compete but I love trying new challenges on horseback. I also enjoy cooking, reading, and playing video games that tell a great story.
Where is the most interesting place you’ve traveled?
During college I joined a mission trip to El Salvador, where we went to remote villages to help with construction. The lives of the people and the general culture were so incredibly different, yet the city of San Salvador had a lot of surprisingly similar features to U.S. cities.
What are some of your personal or professional goals?
I have worked part-time as a dog trainer and I would like to earn a nationally recognized dog training certification.
What is your greatest strength?
Persistence! I am not naturally good at many things, but I break down new challenges and work at them bit by bit until I am successful or have improved my skills.
What is one thing you could not live without?
Carbs. Particularly in pizza form!
