Rebecca Hensley spent many years working as a veterinary assistant prior to her formal education. She became a licensed Veterinary Technician in 2013 and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2014. She obtained her Master’s degree in Career and Technical Education with an emphasis in Agriculture in 2016. She has worked in equine and companion animal practice. She also has experience teaching veterinary technology courses at the college level. She is passionate about educating aspiring technicians and is thrilled to be a part of Penn Foster in her role as an instructor for the B.A.S Veterinary Technology program.
What is one piece of advice you’d like to give to students?
Becoming a veterinary technician takes dedication and hard work. It is an amazing career field to be a part of and the hard work does pay off in the end.

I have Miniature Schnauzers and 2 outdoor farm cats.
