Accreditation

Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) Penn Foster Career School, College, and High School are nationally accredited. This prestigious form of accreditation means that Penn Foster has met the high standards required by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) in Washington, D.C. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. We operate with the highest level of integrity, so our graduates can benefit from an accredited education. Employers are more likely to hire and accept graduates of accredited schools.

Penn Foster Career School has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). In obtaining this accreditation, Penn Foster Career School has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard which is recognized internationally as a standard of good practice. As a result of their Authorized Provider status, Penn Foster Career School is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.

Penn Foster College's Veterinary Technician Associate Degree Program has FULL Accreditation with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) through their Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA). Regional National Accreditation The Penn Foster College Medical Assistant Associate Degree Program is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).

Licensing

Penn Foster Career School and High School are licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.

Penn Foster College is licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education and is authorized to award Associate of Science Degrees, Bachelor of Science Degrees, and Undergraduate Certificates.

College Credit Recommendations

Regional National Accreditation The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) has evaluated and recommended college credit for many Penn Foster College courses. The American Council on Education, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives. Approved for veteran's education benefits

Many Penn Foster programs are approved for veteran's education benefits. Reservists may also qualify for veteran's education benefits. All Penn Foster programs are affiliated with DANTES, which qualifies U.S. Military personnel for tuition reimbursement.
