For Nerjis Al Habib, the traditional high school experience wasn’t a perfect match. After a difficult freshman year, her parents decided it would be best for her to continue her education from home. That’s when they discovered Penn Foster online high school.
“Honestly, it worked very well for me. I’m on the spectrum, so being able to do my work in the comfort of my home made it so much easier to learn.”
In late summer of 2024, Nerjis enrolled in Penn Foster High School, and just a few short months later, she had graduated.
Structure, support, and speed
Nerjis stuck to a routine: two lessons each morning, every day. The flexible, self-paced nature of Penn Foster’s program helped her thrive both academically and personally. She stayed focused on her long-term goal: becoming an orthodontist.
“Education means a lot to me, not just because of my career goals, but because my dad never got to finish high school. I wanted to make him proud.”
And she did. When Nerjis brought home her college ID, her dad was so proud he shared the news with friends and family.
On the fast track to a career in healthcare
Now a college freshman at just 16 years old, Nerjis is already working toward her dream of a future in orthodontics. She credits her success to her own diligence and to the structure and encouragement Penn Foster provided.
