Jon DeEsch has worked in the Education Department at Penn Foster for over 10 years as an instructor in building trades, drafting with AutoCAD,® and introductory engineering courses. Before coming to Penn Foster, Jon taught for several years in a vocational-technical school and has over 20-years experience working in the construction field, including residential and commercial building, as well as restoration.
Jon’s previous experience includes being sole proprietor of a home inspection business, working as a compliance inspector for a residential development, and building his own home. Jon is certified with the National Association of Home Inspectors as a Certified Real Estate Inspector. Jon has varied interests, “I’ve spent many years working outdoors, and I enjoy puttering around outside the house. We live in a log home which I built ‘in the woods’ so there are always plenty of chores. Being a sports fanatic, I watch and attend as many events as possible, as well as playing the occasional round of golf, which also usually results in spending time in the woods! I also volunteer and serve as a director for our local agricultural fair held the last week of summer.”
