Alex Thome’s grandfather used his GI Bill to earn a certification in accounting, changing the trajectory for generations in his family. Observing this, as well as disparities around the globe, motivated Alex towards a career focused on using education to open doors to economic mobility. He brings a wealth of experience in high school education and online learning to the Penn Foster Group. He has led groundbreaking workforce development initiatives and partnerships. His career spans leadership roles at Flocabulary, the NYC Department of Education, and Santa Clara University. With a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Santa Clara University, Alex's insights are informed by a rich educational background.
