There are many educational benefits that the Department of Defense extends to military veterans and their families to assist them in their transition to a successful life after the military. Penn Foster makes it a priority to help our veterans find the appropriate program with the maximum benefit. Many Penn Foster programs are approved for veterans education benefits. If you think you may be eligible, check with your local or regional VA office. Below is some information on some VA benefits that might be applicable to you.

The MGIB program provides up to 36 months of education benefits. Generally, benefits are payable for 10 years following release from active duty. Click here to determine your eligibility.
You are eligible for VEAP benefits if you entered active duty after December 31, 1976, and before July 1, 1985.
VEAP is available if you elected to make contributions from your military pay to participate in this education benefit program. Your contributions are matched on a $2 for $1 basis by the government. For more information on this program, click here.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill® provides financial support for education to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or for individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill.®
