Our online Health Care Management Degree is designed with job-readiness in mind, helping you prepare for a variety of career opportunities for health care managers. Through online coursework, you'll learn what a healthcare manager does, how to effectively lead a healthcare team, and apply your skills in real-world situations during a 160-hour practicum at the end of your program. 

State Licensing Requirements

Associate Degrees from Penn Foster College are awarded under licensing from the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education.

Health Care Management Practicum Experience

Penn Foster's Health Care Management Degree Program includes a required practicum to gain real-world experience prior to graduating. After successfully completing your online studies, you'll work under the supervision of a healthcare manager, office manager, or nursing home administrator to apply your skills and knowledge to hands-on tasks. The practicum is a minimum of 160 hours which will be completed at a medical facility near you. Students are responsible for finding a site and the site must be approved by your instructor before beginning your hours.
