
Mariam Dawoud
High School Math Instructor, M. Ed
Mariam has assisted Penn Foster students with their math studies since 2015. Mariam is dedicated to making learning attainable for our students and provides help and guidance through instructional phone calls and email. She also works to create meaningful and useful learning resources to go with our math courses, including short videos and guided notes, to accommodate various types of learners. Mariam has a heart for teaching, especially for helping others discover their strengths when it comes to learning math. She believes that education is a pillar to pursuing success and empowerment!
Mariam earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Dalhousie University and a master’s degree in urban education from Alvernia University. Her passion to teach led her to change her career and earn her Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate to teach math, grades 7 to 12. Mariam taught briefly in the public school system before becoming an online instructor.
