Selina has years of experience outside the teaching profession, including jobs in food service, retail, medical billing, intake coordination for home health, data entry for an attorney, and reception/assistant in veterinary hospitals. She uses the real-world experience from those jobs to help empathize and teach her students daily. Selina started her teaching career as a 7th grade teacher, then taught at a community college GED program. Today, she is an English teacher for Penn Foster High School. Selina’s education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from California State University Northridge, a Master of Arts in English from Grand Canyon University, and a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University.
