Jacob Walden’s Story of Resilience and Determination
At just 16 years old, Jacob Walden from Kentucky has already overcome more than many students twice his age. Between working a part-time job and helping care for his mother, who had recently overcome stomach cancer and was facing congestive heart failure, Jacob’s life was anything but easy.
Still, he knew education mattered, and he wasn’t ready to give up on it.
“Education has always been one of my #1 priorities,” Jacob shared. “But everything happening at home made it really difficult to focus on school.”
Finding support through online learning
